Fraudulent emails and calls targeting authorized automotive professionals for SIV access

A phishing operation aimed at unlawfully obtaining SIV access credentials from authorized automotive professionals is currently underway.

Phishing is a fraudulent call, SMS, or email designed to deceive victims into disclosing personal data (certificate, password, banking information, etc.). Fraudsters impersonate trusted entities such as France Titres, CERT, prefecture, SIV, DGFIP, etc. The communication may feature an unusual design or presentation compared to messages sent by France Titres, CERT, prefecture, etc.

* The message (or phone call) creates a sense of urgency.

* The sender's email address and/or identity are unknown and attempt to resemble an official address. Emails from organizations (such as central government agencies) may be spoofed or closely imitate a genuine address. Here are examples of recognized fraudulent email addresses:

Currently circulating fraudulent emails titled "Compliance Check - Status of Your SIV LICENSE" and "Compliance Check - Verification of YOUR SIV KEY" are fraudulently signed by "ANTS - Expertise and Services, Verification Service".

Please ignore this email and do not reply to it.

Audit appointments are also being offered by phone on appointment. Do not follow up on these.

The DGFIP, FranceTitres / ANTS, or the prefectures are not responsible for this email and/or phone calls. No government service will request from authorized automotive professionals information regarding their authorization or SIV accreditation, digital certificates, or secret codes.

#### For your security, we recommend:

* In case of phone calls or SMS messages from unknown numbers: do not share your login credentials, passwords, or banking information. * Stay alert to the sender's email address and the content of the message.

* Do not automatically click on links—hover your mouse over the link to verify its consistency.

* Do not grant remote access to your computer

* Be cautious with attachments.

* Regularly update your passwords by going directly to the relevant website.

If you suspect you have been the victim of a hacking attack, contact the SIV service of your prefecture as soon as possible so preventive measures can be taken.
