CIVIL SECURITY EXERCISE – MARCH 24, 2026

Simulation of a weather alert via FR-Alert in the Creuse

The Prefecture of Creuse will conduct a civil security exercise for the dissemination of a weather alert using the FR-Alert tool across the entire department on Tuesday, March 24, starting at 14:30.

This exercise, organized by the Prefecture's Security Services, aims to familiarize the general public with the alert tool.

A message will be sent to compatible and powered-on mobile phones present within the department.

This exercise will be indicated by:

• a loud siren sound accompanied by a notification on the screen for holders of compatible smartphones connected via 3G/4G/5G.

This system activates even if your mobile phone is on silent mode.

It will explicitly state « EXERCISE EXERCISE EXERCISE » and require no action from the public.

This notification will include a link to a short questionnaire enabling State services to better understand the public's perception of this new tool. Individuals who receive the alert are encouraged to complete this questionnaire.

As soon as the alert is triggered, a Public Information Cell (CIP) will be opened, until 5:00 p.m. The public may contact it at 0 970 809 040.
