La tapisserie de Bayeux, broderie du XIe siècle, est exposée à Piccadilly en Londres avant son arrivée au British Museum en septembre. Cet objet symbolique de l'histoire européenne traversera la Manche dans le cadre d'un partenariat franco-britannique.

La tapisserie de Bayeux, broderie du XIe siècle, narre la conquête de l’Angleterre par Guillaume, duc de Normandie, sur près de 70 mètres et à travers 58 scènes inscrites au patrimoine mondial.
Symbole magnifique de l’histoire européenne depuis près de 1 000 ans, cette œuvre unique, à la fois rare témoignage artistique et document historique de la bataille de Hastings, est exposée à Piccadilly en Londres depuis ce week-end avant son arrivée au British Museum en septembre prochain.
